1:43-Scale, Hand-built Model of the Toleman Hart TG183B, 1984 Brazilian Grand Prix

1:43-Scale, Hand-built Model of the Toleman Hart TG183B, 1984 Brazilian Grand Prix by Pierre Laugier LP Creation

This Toleman Hart TG183B is another build from a Tameo Silverline kit. The model is Ayrton Senna's Toleman from his debut in Formula One at the 1984 Brazilian Grand Prix.  Unfortunately he had to retire due to turbo failure during the 8th lap.

The kit was built largely "from the box", although I  made a number of modifications, particularly to the engine, using my own scratch-built parts.  For example, I have made some aviation-type flexible hoses by braiding fine wire, and have also added various nuts and bolts, and lines and cables to improve the engine and the gear box.

Other features include new suspension arms (as can be seen in photo no. 5, new arms on the left, original on the right) created using soldered aluminium and brass; a new dashboard with instruments made from turned parts rather than decals; new wheel nuts and tyre valves in turned aluminum; a new gear stick with its exterior linkage system in  aluminium and brass; new steering linkage in the cockpit in aluminium; I've also painted the carbon parts rather than use the supplied decals.

The model was finished in 2021, and it is available to order.  The price of the model is 1,167.00 Euros (excl. French sales tax*), plus shipping.
