1:43-Scale, Hand-built Model of the March Ford 761, 1976 Monaco Grand Prix

This model of Ronnie Peterson's March Ford 761 was built using a Tameo Silverline kit, but as there is no kit of this version, I used the kit from the USA West GP with decals from Cigale 43.

As with all my Builts from Kits, I have made a number of modifications to the kit using my own scratch-built parts.  This was especially necessary to transform the kit into the version from Monaco as many of the details are particular to this race.  For example, the roll-bar is different, so this has been scratch-built; the air intakes on the nose have also been added as they are a feature of the Monaco version.  Another feature is the addition of scratch-built fuel injectors, plus wires, and a mesh cover for the engine which I have made myself.

The photo on my work bench shows the rear wing and the side radiators which have been painted using various metal shades.  I have painted them rather than polished them as this gives a more nuanced, and so more realistic, finish.

The model was finished in 2021 and has now been sold.  If you would like a quote for a similar model, please do not hesitate to Contact Me.
