One-off, 1:43-Scale, Super-detailed, Opening, Hand-built Model of the Ferrari 750 Monza, Carrera Panamericana 1954

This work-in-progress is a new, one-off model of the Ferrari 750 Monza from the 1954 Carrera Panamericana.  The car was owned and driven by Alfonso de Portago, but failed to finish due to oil pipe problems.

A white-metal kit by French kit manufacturer, Modelart111, is the base for this model and so far I've modified the bodywork to allow for the addition of various scratch-built parts in brass.  These parts include a new bonnet and tonneau cover with fully opened louvres, a new driver's door, a new dashboard and a new boot lid. New parts are being added so that the model can be transformed into a fully opening model.

The model has been started in 2022 and the work-in-progress was on display at Retromobile 2022.
