One-off, 1:12-Scale, Super-detailed, Hand-built Model of the Ferrari 256 F1, Winner, 1960 Italian Grand Prix

This one-off, 1:12-scale model of the Ferrari 256 F1 is of the winning car from the 1960 Italian Grand Prix, driven to victory by Phil Hill, in what proved to be the last time a front-engined car won a Formula One World Championship race.

The model was built using the 1:12-scale kit by Model Factory Hiro.  Rather than adding lots of additional detail using scratch-built parts, which I would normally do with a 1:43-scale model, I decided to do a classic build "straight-from-the-box" and so used the parts supplied with the kit, with some work on the paintwork of the chassis, as well as the addition of various wires and other lines to the engine.

This one-off model was finished in late 2023 and was on show on my stand at Retromobile 2024.  It has now been sold, but if you are interested in getting a quote for something similar, please do not hesitate to Contact Me.
