1:12-Scale, Super-detailed, Scratch-built Model of the Ferrari 206 S Spyder, 1967 1000km Monza

This new, 1:12-scale model is my first fully scratch-built model in this scale.  As with the Sharknose, I have already built a 206 S Spyder in 1:43-scale.  This is the same car (works car chassis number 004), but is car #12 from the 1967 1000km of Monza.  It was driven by the British driver Jonathan Williams, who was partnered with the German Günter Klass.  Unfortunately the car did not finish the race due to a problem with the head gasket and Klass did not get to drive.

The bodywork has been made using plasticard and the chassis is in brass.  Various other parts of the car such as the fins and the covers have also been scratch-built in brass. The scratch-built engine has been made using a combination of materials such as plasticard and resin.  Other parts have been made in turned aluminium.

As the model progresses I shall post new photos here. First photos added March 2020. New photos added April 2020, and then again in October 2020.
