Hand-built, 1:43-Scale, Wire 'Bodybuck' Model of the Ferrari 250 GT SWB 'Breadvan', 1962

The now legendary 'Breadvan', chassis #2819GT, continues to excite interest whenever it is seen.  Seen here are two different 'Bodybuck’ models highlighting the revolutionary design of this most distinctive Ferrari.

#16 is from Le Mans 1962 where it was driven by Italian Carlo Maria Abate and his British team-mate Colin Davies, for Count Volpi and Scuderia Serenissima. Unfortunately the car suffered transmission failure in the 4th hour and had to abandon.

#15 is from later that year at the 1000km of Paris at Montlhéry, where it was again driven by Davies for Scuderia Serenissima, but partnered this time by Italian Ludovico Scarfiotti. The car enjoyed more success than at Le Mans comimg in 3rd overall and 3rd in class.
