1:43-Scale, Super-detailed, Fully-opening, Hand-built Model of the Ferrari 156/85, 1985

This new model of Michele Alboreto's winning Ferrari 156/85 from the 1985 Canadian Grand Prix was built from a Model Factory Hiro kit.

The model has been built largely "from the box", but with a significant number of modifications to the kit using my own scratch-built parts.

These parts include a new dashboard with instruments made from turned parts rather than decals; new fuel lines with scratch-built rubber seals and hose clamps, along with various other lines and cables added to the engine; various screws, nuts and bolts added to the bodywork, engine and fuel lines; new, scratch-built seat belts; and new scratch-built turned aluminium engine parts.

I have also concentrated on the paint finish, in particular the carbon Kevlar underbody of the car which has been hand-painted using a stencil.

The model is presented on a plexi-glass base (with plexi-glass cover), with an LP Creation name plate in brass.

The model was finished in late 2022 and it was on display at Retromobile 2023.

This particular model has now been sold, but it is possible to re-order, so if you are interested in a quote for this or a similar model, please do not hesitate to Contact Me.
