This Lotus Ford 78 is Mario Andretti's race car from the 1977 Italian Grand Prix, which he won.

The model has been built from a Tameo super-detailed kit, and like the recent Lotus 72D model, has been mostly built “from-the-box”, but with the addition of a few extra details. These include various fuel lines and cables such as the spark plug wires to the engine, and the fuel injectors. Rivets have also been added to the rear wing, and I used various paint effects on the metal parts to create a more realistic, metallic finish.
