1:43-Scale, Super-detailed, Hand-built Model of the Porsche 917/30 'Sunoco', 1973 Can-Am Championship

This is a new, 1:43-scale, super-detailed model of Mark Donohue's Can-Am Sunoco Porsche 917/30. Donohue won the 1973 Can-Am Championship with this car.

This model is based on a super-detailed kit with removable body by Model Factory Hiro. One significant difference from the kit is that I have added scratch-built hinges so that the doors can be opened and closed. As usual I have added some new, fine detailing and scratch-built parts to give a greater level of detail, in particular the various pipes and tubes in and around the engine, the cockpit and the front of the car.

The model was finished in February 2022 and it was on display at Retromobile 2022.
