This is a model of the Ferrari 512S, winner of the 1970 12 Hours of Sebring, driven by Ignazio Giunti, Nino Vaccarella and Mario Andretti. It has been built from the new, white-metal Montegrosso kit by Tameo Kits.
The main difference from the original kit is that I have replaced the rear bodywork in white metal with a much lighter, scratch-built part in resin. Unlike the original kit, this new, rear body is now attached to the main body with my own, scratch-built micro-hinges, so that the rear can be both opened and closed on its hinges.
Apart from this significant difference, the rest of the model is largely built “from-the-box” as Tameo have produced a very well-designed kit. Nevertheless I have made a few modifications such as adding my usual fuel lines and cables, and creating a few new, scratch-built parts such as new tyre valves.
This particular model was finished in 2020 and has now been sold, but it is possible to re-order, so if you are interested in a quote for this or a similar model, please do not hesitate to
