This new model of the Ferrari 250 MM Pininfarina was built using an AMR kit.
I used an AMR kit of a 250 MM road car as a base for this model and made various changes to transform it into the version from the 1953 Carrera Panamericana. The most notable modifications are the addition of scratch-built doors and bonnet in brass, a scratch-built radiator, and new windscreen surrounds made from silver wire.
The car finished 11th at the fourth Carrera Panamericana race in 1953. It was driven by Mexican privateers Efraín Ruiz Echeverría and Pedro Villegas Becerril.
This model was finished in late 2019 and it was on display at Retromobile 2020.
