This model from a Model Factory Hiro kit is a Ferrari 126 C4, winner of the 1984 Belgian Grand Prix driven by Michele Alboreto. This was Alboreto’s first win for Ferrari and the first by an Italian for the team in almost 20 years.
Similar to other Hiro models, this was built “from-the-box”, and did not require the addition of many new parts as the existing MFH parts were very good. Nevertheless I reworked the body of the car so that it can be closed. I also spent a long time working on the carbon parts with paints to create as realistic a finish as possible, and I added a number of small parts to improve the appearance of the model, such as the various cables.
The model was completed in January 2016 and was on display at Retromobile 2016. and at The London Classic Car Show 2016 in February 2016.
